Ron Long, Principal
Ron Long is a partnership architect with three decades of experience building the ecosystems that power technology growth. As founder of LongVentures, he advises mid-market and enterprise companies on how to design, scale, and monetize multi-partner programs — combining proven frameworks with the emerging AI tools that are reshaping how partnerships operate.
Ron’s career spans some of the most consequential technology partnerships of the past thirty years.
At HP, he founded and launched multiple businesses that extended HP’s product portfolio through integrated alliances with ISVs and system integrators — and was among the founding members of ASAP, the Association for Strategic Alliance Professionals, which has since become the definitive global body for alliance and partnership practitioners.
At NetApp, Ron built the Global System Integrator business from the ground up, weaving together strategic alliances with SAP and Cisco and launching one of the industry’s first multi-cloud, multi-partner solutions — an integrated stack spanning NetApp, Cisco, Microsoft Azure, SAP, and Accenture that set a template for complex co-innovation.
At Workspan, he expanded the company’s Cloud Partner Network Platform to encompass co-innovation and joint go-to-market motions, driving active adoption across Cisco, NetApp, SAP, Microsoft, and a network of Global System Integrators.
At Informatica, he led the global system integrator solution portfolio and built the co-sell infrastructure that accelerated enterprise adoption of Informatica’s AI-powered IDMC cloud data management platform with hyperscaler cloud providers.
What makes Ron’s perspective rare is the range. He has operated inside the vendor, the platform, and the channel — designing the programs, negotiating the frameworks, and running the motions that turn partner agreements into pipeline. He understands what breaks down between ISVs, cloud providers, and system integrators, and how to fix it.
Today, through the Partner Nexus Program, Ron helps growing companies build partnership ecosystems that are structured, repeatable, and AI-enabled — so that partner-led growth becomes a durable competitive advantage, not a dependency on relationships that walk out the door.
